Bought by Lance Taylor in October, 2016, Sambuca was transported by trailer to Potter Heigham on the Norfolk Broads and put into the Phoenix Fleet boatyard for an upgrade consisting of the following:
- completely new floorboards in utlile coated with Coelan
- a rebuild of the port aft end of the interior of the cabin renewing the half bulkhead and the worktop, into which was built a sink and manual water tap, fed by a collapsible plastic tank in the aft cockpit
- The engine was serviced
- The carburettor was totally rebuilt with new jets, and set up properly.
- All the windows were removed and re-chromed and refitted
- The cabin sides were rubbed down and revarnished, along with the deck and top of the sides.
- The rest of the hull to the waterline was rubbed down, undercoated and top-coated with Epiphanes off-white yacht enamel.
- The underwater section of the hull was antifouled.
- A total rewire was undertaken.
- The dashboard panel was renewed by Brian Wards of Brundall and engraved with the boat’s name.
- New electrical rather than mechanical sensors for temperature and oil pressure were fitted
- All interior bulbs were replaced by LEDs.
- Three new green covers were made, one forward cockpit , one aft cockpit, and one overall.
- All the chromed deck fittings were removed, re-chromed and refitted.
- All doors were removed, rubbed down, revarnished and refitted.
- A cassette toilet was fitted into the aft cockpit.
- Sambuca is now for sale at £37,500
